Hey, what's up, guys? It's Thune, and today I want to talk to you about healer balance in patch 10.1 Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible raid. We're only going to be focusing on the raid here, but to do that, we're going to be breaking down healers into four different categories: healing output, damage output, survivability, and utility.
Healing Output
In 10.0, evoker and restoration druid were anywhere from 20 to 30 percent ahead of the rest. Druids had a good set bonus compared to the other specs, and evokers were quite overpowered. In 10.0.5 and 10.0.7, both evoker and restoration druid received multiple nerfs, but other healers have gotten talent tree reworks, numeric buffs, or both. This has resulted in the current balance in 10.0.7, which is likely to carry over into 10.1.
Damage Output
In the past, disc priest and holy paladin have always been ahead in damage output, followed by mistweaver. In 10.0, restoration druid received Nature's Vigil, and resto shaman got Acid Rain. Evokers had a strong four-piece bonus that gave them a lot of passive damage, but they are losing that in 10.1. Ranking the healers based on their damage, disc priest comes out on top, followed by holy paladin and holy priest, with shaman, mistweaver, and druid trailing behind. Unfortunately, evoker ranks lowest in damage output for 10.1.
Survivability
Not much has changed in survivability from 10.0 to 10.1. The biggest change is Earthen Harmony for restoration shaman, which gives both the player and their target a 6% damage reduction as long as they have Earth Shield on them. Ranking the specs on survivability, holy paladin is in the lead, followed by evoker, mistweaver, restoration druid, shaman, and finally, both priest specs.
Utility
In 10.0, Razigath was a unique fight that showcased healer utility. While there is no exact equivalent in the upcoming raid, there are quite a few knockbacks, and tools like cauterizing flame, windrush totem, and stampeding roar will be valuable. Ranking the healers based on utility, priest takes the top spot, followed by evoker, then holy paladin and shaman, and finally druid and mistweaver.

That's pretty much all my thoughts on the healers ranked in those four different categories. If you're excited to play mistweaver or holy priest as your main, let me know! Thanks for watching. Make sure you subscribe and like the video for more. See ya!
