The Gilded Market with Patrol Captain Gerdo.
The first Boss you will encounter in Court of Stars is Patrol Captain Gerdo. In Court ofStars, many of your professions will be able to grant you additional perks you can use duringthis dungeon. As soon as you start the dungeon, talk to the Signal Lantern to order a boat that drives you to the next location.
Notable Trash Mobs Whenever you travel further to the first Boss, you will encounter multiple Arcane Beacon. -Duskwatch Sentry will attempt will cast Sound Alarm, running to the Beacon. If this cast is successful, it becomes Secured. Player’s must deactive them in order to avoid the first boss Patrol Captain Gerdo to spawn additional reinforcement during the encounter. -Guardian Construct are located throughout the the Gilded Market, and pack a few abilities. -These can be deactivated by Engineers, Goblins and Gnomes by clicking the Arcane Power Conduit. This Ball is located in the House to the left of the bridge, crossing the river to the first boss. -Charged Smash deals heavy damage and leaves a pool of Disrupting Energy Suppress will pacify enemies hit if not interrupted -You will encounter a few Mana Wyrm which leave a Voidzone on the floor on death. -Mana Saber leaps to random party members and uses Mana Fang to deal heavy AoE damage in a 5-yards radius.
Patrol Captain Gerdo
The first Boss in Court of Stars is Patrol Captain Gerdo. Make sure to deactivate all 3 Arcane Beacons to prevent the boss to summon additional adds during the Boss encounter. Before the Boss fight, Rogues and Alchemists can poison the flask that Patrol Captain Gerdo drinks during the fight to instantly kill him.
Notable Abilities -Resonant Slash deals deadly damage in a cone infront and behind the boss. -Streetsweeper summons a laser beam that has to be avoided -Arcane Lockdown is a debuff that deals heavy damage that can only be removed by Jumping.
Patrol Captain Gerdo Strategy and Abilities Players that are Alchemists, or Rogues can click the Flask which the boss will drink during the fight, in order to instantly killing him and saving your group a lot of time. It is really important to note again that players have to deactivate all Arcane Beacons in the Gilded Market. Otherwise, the Boss will spawn reinforcement during the encounter which will cast Hinder, stunning random players for 6 seconds. -Streetsweeper Frequently, the Boss will spawn a beam Streetsweeper, dealing heavy damage to players stuck, which can be dodged by walking out of it very quick. -Resonant Slash The Boss will use Resonant Slash, aimed towards the Tank. This will spawn a cone infront and behind the Boss which deals heavy damage and stuns players for 4 seconds if hit. -Arcane Lockdown The Boss will apply Arcane Lockdown to all players, a debuff that inflicts periodic damage aslong it persists. To remove a stack of this debuff, players have to jump! This debuff cannot be removed by moving your character. This debuff will deal heavy damage as long it persists and slows your movement speed, which makes it very difficult to dodge Gerdo’s other abilities. At 25% health, Gerdo runs to the Flask of the Solemn Night, granting him 30% Haste and 30% increased damage. If this Flask has been poisened by Rogues or Alchemists, the Boss will instantly die.
The Midnight Court and Talixae Flamewreath
After defeating the first boss Captain Gerdo, you have to fight your way trough the Midnight Court in order to slowly eliminate the adds protecting Talixae Flamewreath. If not, they engage into the Bossfight and deal more damage and increases their healthpool with Bond of Flame.
Notable Trash Mobs In order to engage every single Demon protecting Talixae Flamewreath, players have multiple creative options to achieve them getting seperated. Defeating a Felbound Enforcer will trigger one of the demons protecting the boss to run to the location where the Enforcer died. Those Enforcers are indicated on the Minimap. They will cast Fel Detonation, dealing heavy damage to the entire party and leaving a debuff dealing even more damage. This can be avoided by tanking this Enforcer at a corner, so players can quickly Line of Sight this cast before it goes off. he same buff, will cause the players to be stunned for 8 seconds, taking heavy lightning damage over 8 seconds. Each demon protecting the boss has a unique ability that players need to deal with. -Imacu’tya is always first, and will use Whirling Blades, dealing damage to players toclose to her. -Baalgar the Watchful is always second, and uses Disintegration Beam, dealing heavy periodic damage to a random player. This cant be interrupted -Jazshariu is always third, and attacks the tank with Shockwave, a frontal cone aimed to the tank which can be avoided by all players, even tank -Players can also trigger these demons to engage by different Class/Profession-based perks. -Leatherworkers, Rogues or Warriors may interact with Bazaar Goods, tripping a magical alarm -Tailors or Healers may assist a Wounded Nightborne Civilian, who shrieks and runs away upon being helped by “outsiders” -Miners or Jewelcrafters may destroy a Lifesized Nightborne Statue -Hunters or Blacksmiths can interact with Discarded Junk to fashion a trap, which makes a loud noise as it is set; if the Emissary is kited over this trap, the Emissary instantly dies
Talixae Flamewreath
After eliminating all Adds protecting Talixae, you can finally start the encounter with the second boss of Court of Stars.
Notable Abilities -Burning Intensity radiates consistent fire damage per stack, increasing by 10% every application -Infernal Eruption drops a pool of fire below every player, and spawns an Infernal Imp which needs to be killed.
Talixae Flamewreath Strategy and Abilities -Infernal Eruption Most important Ability of this boss fight is Infernal Eruption. This spawns a pool of fire below each player, out of which an Infernal Imp spawns. This Imp has to be killed, otherwise it attacks random players with Firebolt and Drifting Embers. Keep in mind that the pool of fire on the floor deals damage to all players standing in it, so you want to position your group close to each other in order to kill those Imps very quick -Burning Intensity Burning Intensity is unavoidable damage and has to be healed off by the Healer in your group. This damage increases over time, the more stacks Talixae receives. -Withering Soul Talixae Flamewreath will cast Withering Soul in the attempt to reduce all players maximum health by 5% per application. This must be interrupted.
Advisor Melandrus in The Jeweled Estate
After defeating Talixae Flamewreath, its just a short way to the final boss of Court of Stars – Advisor Melandrus. Talk to Ly’leth Lunastre in order to receive your Masquerade illusion, which grants you entrance into the Jeweled Estate.
Notable Trash Mobs While you are in the Jeweled Estate, you will find many NPC’s that you can talk to. Your Goal is to find the spy which will walk you into a secret room when the spy transforms into a Dreadlord. You have to talk to all 5 NPCs marked on your minimap in order to get all clues of who is the spy. Addons like Deadly Boss Mods or a Demon Hunter using Spectral Sight after talking to all NPCs will make your life way easier. -Male or female -Dark-colored vest or light-colored vest -Long sleeves or short/no sleeves -Gloves or bare hands -Cloak or no cloak -The presence of items on the spy’s belt, including: -No items on the belt -Book on the belt -Coinpurse on the belt -Potion vials on the belt As soon as you found the correct spy, he will make you follow him to a secret room. The spy will transform into the Dreadlord Gerenth the Vile, which drops a key on the floor that must be picked up by players in order to unlock the room to the last boss Meladrus. -He uses Carrion Swarm, a frontal cone aimed towards the tank that deals heavy damage
-Shadow Bolt Volley cannot be interrupted and deals moderate Shadow Damage to all players. -Cripple applies to a random party member reducing their damage done by 50% and can be despelled.
Advisor Melandrus
The last boss of Court of Stars is Advisor Melandrus.
Notable Abilities Image of Advisor Melandrus will echo all spell cast by the boss -Piercing Gale is a strike in a straight line infront and behind the boss -Slicing Maelstrom radiats unavoidable damage that has to be compensated by the healer -Blade Surge creates an Image of Advisor Melandrus whenever he rushes to a ranged player and deals damage in a 5-yards radius
Advisor Melandrus Strategy and Abilities -Blade Surge Blade Surge will target a random ranged player. The boss will charge to the indicated location, and leaves an Image of Advisor Melandrus on its location. Additionally, this deals heavy damage whenever a player gets hit by it. Range players could potentially coordinate the location of this, so other abilities are easier to handle with. Standing close to an Image of Advisor Melandrus has no effect, and players are free to position themself ontop of them. -Piercing Gale The most dangerous ability is Piercing Gale. This will deal damage in a straight line infront and behind the boss, and every Image of the boss. If ranged players positioned themself ontop of old Images, this will allow players to easily dodge this ability. Otherwise, this can become very difficult to avoid. Getting hit will knock players away and deals heavy damage. Use your strongest damage cooldowns and Bloodlust on this Boss. -Enveloping Winds The Boss will spawn Enveloping Winds frequently. Those Tornados are travelling trough the room, and stun all players coming into contact with them -Slicing Maelstrom The Boss will use Slicing Maelstrom, a strong AoE damage that cannot be avoided. This damage becomes more and more deadly the more Image of Advisor Melandrus are alive, echoing all of his abilities.
