What's up guys, good morning! Petco here today and we're going to talk about the Mythic+ guide because you guys have been asking me for so long: "Hey Petco, where is the guide coming out?". Well, it is finally here! We're going to talk about builds, what builds to map, playing, and why. We're going to talk about talents, stats, enchants, gems, flasks, potions, food, rotation, best gear, single target and AOE, two target, and pretty much everything you've been asking me about on this chord, on Patreon, on Twitch, and on YouTube. So, I did my best to summarize everything together and combine this into a guide that's going to help you out until the end of the season.
We hope you guys enjoyed the video and, if you did, make sure to hit the like button. But before we begin the video, I want to give a big shout out to Ocean Remote for sponsoring the video. Now, without further ado, let's jump back to the guide. Alright!
Elemental Shaman Builds
So let's talk about builds now. This has been a very hot topic. What builds should I play for magic Plus? In my opinion, there are two builds. The first build is called the Fire Build AKA the LMT Liquid Magnitude build that I play myself (the best one in my opinion). The other one is called the Light Input, which pretty much is like the Great Sundering + Legendary + Thousand + Elemental Plus, which I think is okay for low keys, but I don't think it's good enough on a high case. That's why I recommend you guys to play my build, aka the Fire Build, aka Disappear Video Build.
Now going about talents again, what you will see on the screen is going to be the best house overall for Tyrannical weeks. 45 doesn't really matter, I wouldn't switch anything else. The only switch I could make possibly on Tyrannic weeks, if you're struggling with single target, is maybe go with Elemental Blast instead of, for example, one point in Syrian Flames. This can help you a bit better, but it's going to sacrifice a bit of AOE. But overall, that's what I want to go for for the general talents on Shaman. You can do whatever you want in some cases. You might want to get stunned in order yet, for example Hex or any other thing that you want. That's perfectly fine, they're pretty much optional. Just make sure to have the same talents as you see on the screen in front of you.
Elemental Shaman Stats
Alright, so what stats should I go for? I think this has been a very well-covered topic, so I'm gonna go for it and debunk all the myths.
First of all, haste is the most important thing to go for. It's gonna make you burst a lot faster, global cooldown is shorter, and it's going to feel a lot more smoother to play. A massive amount of haste between 25 and 30 each case is a good amount in my opinion; 20 to 25 is insanely good.
Then I go for crit equals versus crit versus mapping and share the same value. The higher the key you play, the better versing crit becomes for you. So, for example, 20 miles and 22's and 23's I'll go for more versing crit on the lower end keys. 15 and above, maybe crit has more value than versing, but generally crit creates a bit more damage than versing in general. I prefer haste, crit, versing, and mastery at the end. Mastery with the fighter build is completely useless, so that doesn't really matter; just remove mastery.
Elemental Shaman Trinkets
About trinkets, I think there are three good ones: Inferno Red (which drops from Court of Stars), Rage Feather (which drops from Notor Offensive), and Covert Thought (which drops from Host of Valor). If I had to pick only two, I'd probably go for Inferno Red from Court of Stars and Rage Feather from Notor Offensive.
Best Elemental Shaman Crafting Items
Crafting: The best thing to craft right now is your necklace Lariant. You can also craft weapons (a one-hander and/or a shield, two-hander, etc.), bracers, a waist, or a ring. The best embellishment for DPS is Bronze Grip. Additionally, you can use an embellishment that saves you gold and keeps your buff when you die a lot (e.g. when doing Mythic+ and wiping).
Best Elemental Shaman Consumables
All right, so what kind of footage beating obviously parameters that is going to be the best food you want to get for? The only food that gives primary style and it's pretty cheap is Faded Fortune Cookie. If you don't have that one, you can go for example for either Haze or Very So Crit Food, either of those three is going to be amazing for you.
Files you always want to play Glitch of 35 from Music Plus running three, if possible.
And potions you always want to pay Elemental Potion of Power everywhere. So when it comes to this gear, there isn't really any kind of Beast gear when an eagle on a fit, you want to acquire higher item level loot pieces from Mythic Plus rating and you want to upgrade them to Max high level.
Just make sure that you're going for a tears yet, you want to have two piece at least four pieces kind of okay still, but two pieces definitely must have. It's going to increase your performance by a while, so definitely I wouldn't say there's any specific bits except three kits you want to go for and craftings for example the neck and the weapons and shields whatever, but generally there shouldn't be anything that they should be sweating about if you should go for it or not. So yeah, definitely go for Heights.
Elemental Shaman Rotation
About rotation I think this is gonna be the most hot stuff. I'm gonna try to make it clear quick so you guys can understand me.
I want to talk about AOE now. What I consider AOE is four or more targets. The main goal is to keep Flame Shocks up to six targets. If you can spend your Maelstrom on Earthquakes, try to empower them with Mastered Elements. Try to get your Surge of Power for Chain Lightings if you're fighting less than five targets. Surge of Power has almost no value unless you want to duplicate Flame Shocks and you know help your Flame Shock Mastered Elements sometimes can be useful for Earthquakes. Sometimes you just cannot do it because you have to watch Maelstrom.
One advice: Never ever overcome Maelstrom.
Second advice: Never ever get into the pack late.
Third advice: Make sure to have Maelstrom strong for every single bow.
Once we enter the pool, the first thing you always want to precast is Storm Keeper. Very basic thing you don't want to lose time in between the pools. Second thing you want to precast is your Elemental. Why? Because you always have Elemental everywhere every single pool because you're playing Skybreaker. So pre-Elemental pre-Storm Keeper, following by always Flame Shock LMT but reward wave. That's it: Flame Shock LMT Primordial Wave. Super easy.
Why Flame Shock first? Because when you apply a Flame Shock it goes on cooldown has five seconds cooldown. These five seconds you can cast LMT, you can cast your Primordial Wave and by the time this is going to get probably ready let's go ahead.
So as you can see I pre-Elemental here and I didn't have enough time to cast my Flame Shock so I just put it into place. Don't keep our more later party. I should have my pre-Storm Keeper up already by then but that's okay. Look at this: I LMT first. It's definitely no optimal gameplay but because mobs are really stuck together I want to get the best use out of my LMT. Sometimes I'm gonna wait until thanks and then I use my LMT because it's uncapped damage pretty much. So you want to kind of use the damage from it to the full potential.
But as you can see I never ever triggered My Level search before every single mob has Flame Shock or at least most of the mobs. So LMT for the murder away, Flame Shock everything else has Flame Shocks mostly and then I spend my Chain Lightings until I get a proc. As you can see I get a proc, I spend Earthquakes back to back back to back because I want to have zero Maelstrom because once I take the lower search or gets Maelstrom from… Look at this, level up almost no Maelstrom from obviously and I just spend my Chain Lightings from the Storm Keeper.
And that's your burst pretty much and then from the onwards it's Chain Lighting, Lava Surge, Earthquake, Chain Lighting, Level Search, Earthquake. That's it: LMT I usually keep it for next pack. I don't use it on the same pack again and I try to keep more my Flame Shocks up to date.
What happens if you already procs? Nothing, you keep on your rotation. What happens when you fight five targets or actually with my search Power? Nothing, ignore them. Doesn't really matter. Anything important I think that's everything tldr.
Second target is a bit more complicated. You've only utilize your assertive powers or lightning bolts. You want to buff your lightning bolts or trucks with Mastered Determines. You want to use your Maelstrom for Lightning Bolts pretty much. Keep in mind Surge of Power can also buff your Storm Keeper so you can disconnect over up together.
And you definitely don't want to sit on 100 Maelstrom. So try to spend them as much as you can. One thing to keep in mind is LMT has almost no value NST so maybe you want to keep it for two Targets maybe if there's a mob coming up or from Expo and never ever sit on two stacks flowers during a sentence proc.
One thing to keep in mind is you want to send it on cooldown, but also it's very important for you to make sure that you never sit on five stacks of your two seat two set bonus. So always use the bonus as soon as you have it available in five Stacks or Magma Chamber shouldn't go above 20 Stacks too. Bible chamber was this in the middle right right here it takes it takes increased damage of your choco Earthquake depending on how many Flame Shocks you have available on yourself.
Conclusion
And that's pretty much it for single target. If there's high interest, I can go deeper into the guide and explain two targets and three targets, a bit more complicated, but I think that's going to cover much of it. Little bit of the guide, if you guys are interested as well, you guys can check out our Patreon where we offer a lot more advanced min-maxing guides or actually coaching in general.
