Kazzara is a straightforward dragon that serves as the first boss in the Aberrus raid. This guide covers the fight on both Normal and Heroic difficulty.
Normal Difficulty
Terror Claws
Kazzara's Terror Claws attack hits the tank hard and leaves a debuff. Use mitigation and then swap tanks.
Dread Rifts
Dread Rifts marks a couple of players who will shortly drop puddles. Don’t stick them in melee but don’t drop them too far away, either. You will need those.
Rays of Anguish
Rays of Anguish chase marked players and leave fire in their path. Kite those into the Dread Rifts to remove both the beam and the puddle.
Hellbeam
At full energy, Hellbeam does some raid damage and aims a big fat frontal beam at a random player. Don’t get fried by that.
Wings of Extinction
Wings of Extinction pushes everyone back and does some raid damage. Don’t stand in front of any fire and you won’t get pushed back into any fire.
Hellsteel Carnage
At 80, 60, and 40% health, Kazzara will shed some elementium plates in Hellsteel Carnage. Dodge the falling armor and heal through the raid damage. Every time this happens, you’re going to get more beams and rifts to deal with as well as more general raid damage.
Heroic Difficulty
Upgraded Rays of Anguish
On Heroic difficulty, the Rays of Anguish get upgraded. They’ll now chase players indefinitely until dunked into a rift, whereas before they would eventually time out.
Faster Beams
If a beam lasts until the next set of beams, it’ll start to speed up and do dangerously ramping raid damage, so make sure you kite the beams into the puddles.
